Spent the pandemic going back over his three Flamenco books "Keys to Flamenco Guitar". Such amazing books and what a great teacher, can't recommend them enough!

Very nice---as a contrast please listen to Horowitz version for solo piano--you hear very clear dynamics and a little more room for this piece to breath---not being critical just pointing out the greatness of Horowitz---I also play this piece on classical guitar and I use Horowitz interpretation as my reference. Probably spelling Horowitz wrong? Its nice to hear Doug Smith is willing to help out charitable causes---I think it is a difficult road for an instrumental guitarist these days and I wish him success,

I got his book from a place called Music Mart had a cassette. A flamingo guitar player Hector Pimantel head me playing this stuff and asked where I learned it. I told him and he said it's not supposed to be in books but passed down, etc. They pulled the book. Although this was in 1998.

Wow. Flawless. GVD’s arrangement of this blows me away every time I hear it played. The piccolo section is ridiculous. I can’t even imagine how many hours of practice are required to master this piece. Nice to hear it on a steel string guitar with a Sunrise pickup.
